The oil must be purified before being injected into the system. The pollution degree of raw new oil often exceeds the requirements of the actual hydraulic regulations. Even the new oil just extracted from the oil tank is not suitable for direct use. New oil may be mixed with various pollutant particles and moisture in the process of processing, blending and storage. LYC series high-precision oil filter is an ideal equipment for pre filtration, oil filling and) purification of system oil.

1. Working principle

Three-stage filtration process:

First-stage filtration (coarse filtration): usually installed at the oil suction port, mainly intercepting larger particles of impurities in the oil, such as metal debris, large dust particles, etc., to prevent these large particles from damaging the subsequent fine filtration links or clogging the filter element too quickly, and playing a role in preliminary filtration and protection.

Second-stage filtration (intermediate filtration): further remove smaller particle impurities. Compared with the first-stage filtration, it can filter out finer solid particles and reduce the impurity content in the oil.

Third-stage filtration (fine filtration): deeply remove tiny particles, impurities and possible residual water, etc. After three-stage fine filtration, the oil reaches a higher cleanliness requirement and meets the equipment operation standard for oil cleanliness.

Pressure filtration method: generally adopts motor-driven gear pumps and other methods to apply a certain pressure to the oil, so that the oil is forced to pass through various levels of filters under pressure to ensure the efficiency and effect of filtration.

2. Structural composition

Filtration system:

Coarse filter: as the front end of the first-stage filtration, it is used to filter out larger impurities, protect the oil pump and extend the service life of the whole machine.

Two-stage fine filter: It is the core component for achieving three-stage filtration and impurity removal. According to different precision requirements, the appropriate filter element material and filter aperture are selected to achieve different degrees of filtration effect. For example, the first-stage fine filter can filter out larger particle impurities, the second-stage fine filter can filter out fine particles or water, and the third-stage fine filter performs deeper filtration and purification.

Power system:

Motor: Provides power for the oil filter and drives the oil pump to operate. Its power is selected according to factors such as the model of the oil filter and the processing flow.

Oil pump: Such as gear pump, it has the characteristics of low noise, strong self-priming ability, and smooth operation. It is responsible for extracting oil from the oil tank and delivering it to the filtration system.

Protection device:

High-pressure pipeline overflow protection device: When the pressure in the pipeline exceeds the set value, the overflow protection device is turned on to prevent excessive pressure from causing damage to the hydraulic system and ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Thermal relay protection: Overload protection for the motor. When the current of the motor exceeds the rated value due to excessive load, the thermal relay will operate to cut off the power supply of the motor to prevent damage to the motor.

Other parts:

Housing: The quick-open structure allows operators to quickly and easily open the upper cover when they need to replace the filter element or perform equipment maintenance, without the need for any tools, which improves work efficiency.

Control panel: Pressure gauges and other instruments are usually installed on it to continuously indicate the operating status of the system, such as pressure values, etc., and to display the degree of contamination of the filter element, so that operators can promptly understand the working status of the equipment and determine whether the filter element needs to be replaced.

Technical parameters (example, different models will vary)

Flow parameters: Common ones are 32L/min, 50L/min, 63L/min, 100L/min, etc. The appropriate model can be selected according to the actual use scenario and the demand for oil processing volume.

Pressure parameters:

Rated pressure: Generally around 0.6MPa, some models may be different.

Initial pressure loss: Usually ≤0.02MPa. The lower the pressure loss, the less obstruction the oil filter has to the flow of oil during the filtration process, and the lower the energy consumption.

3. Filtration accuracy:

Coarse filtration accuracy: The common coarse filtration accuracy is 100μm, which is used to intercept larger particle impurities.

First-level fine filtration accuracy: There are usually different grades such as 10μm, 20μm, 40μm, etc. to choose from, which is determined according to the requirements for oil cleanliness.

Second-level fine filtration accuracy: Common ones are 3μm, 5μm, 10μm, etc., which are used to further remove tiny particles and impurities.

Motor parameters: The power of the motor also varies with different models, such as 0.75kW, 1.1kW, 2.2kW, etc. The power size is related to the processing capacity and work efficiency of the oil filter.

4. Application field

Industrial field:

Power industry: Used for filtering and purifying lubricating oil and insulating oil of steam turbines, water turbines, transformers and other equipment in power plants, removing impurities and moisture in the oil, ensuring the normal operation of the equipment, and extending the service life and maintenance cycle of the equipment.
