The precautions for using the security bag filter are as follows:
Installation:
Choose the installation location: It should be installed in a stable, dry place that is easy to operate and maintain. At the same time, ensure that there is enough space at the installation location to replace the filter bag and other operations. In addition, avoid installing it in a place with vibration or impact to prevent affecting the normal operation and service life of the filter.
Inlet and outlet pipe connection: When connecting the inlet and outlet flanges or pipe teeth, ensure that the connection is firm and well sealed to avoid liquid leakage. When connecting, pay attention to the correct direction to ensure that the liquid flow direction meets the design requirements of the filter. Generally, it flows in from the inlet and flows out from the outlet after being filtered by the filter bag. For jacketed filters, ensure that the connection is correct and there is no leakage when connecting the heat source.
Installation of internal components: Before installing the filter bag, gently place the metal inner net into the filter so that the inner net collar matches the filter mouth; when placing the filter bag, make sure that the filter bag ring mouth matches the metal inner net collar. For multi-bag filter machines, make sure to tighten the filter bag pressure ring when buckling it to prevent the filter bag from loosening or falling off.
Check the sealing: After installation, carefully check the sealing of each connection part of the filter, including the seal between the filter cartridge and the upper cover, the connection seal between the inlet and outlet pipes and the filter, etc. A pressure test can be performed to ensure that there will be no leakage under normal working pressure.
Operation:
Operation pressure control: After starting the pump, pay attention to the pressure gauge reading on the filter. It is generally more appropriate to control the filtration pressure at 0.1-0.3MPa to avoid excessive pressure to damage the filter bag and the protective net. If the pressure is too high, it can be adjusted through the return line or the return valve on the pump.
Prevent pressure shock: When opening or closing the valve, operate slowly to avoid instantaneous pressure shock from damaging the filter. Especially when the filter is initially put into use or when the liquid flow and pressure in the system change greatly, pay more attention to slow adjustment.
Avoid reverse pressurization: Use the filter strictly according to the designed flow direction, and reverse pressurization is prohibited, otherwise it may damage the structure of the filter, resulting in reduced filtration effect or equipment damage.
Operation process monitoring: During the operation of the filter, the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet should be checked regularly. When the pressure difference reaches 0.05-0.1MPa, the filter bag should be replaced in time to avoid excessive pressure difference causing the filter bag to rupture and the support net to be damaged.
Maintenance:
Regular cleaning: After a period of use, some impurities will settle inside the filter bag, resulting in increased pressure and decreased flow rate. Therefore, the filter needs to be cleaned regularly to remove impurities and other dirt accumulated on the filter bag during the initial operation of the system. The frequency of cleaning depends on the actual working conditions.
Filter bag replacement:
Replacement timing: In addition to judging whether the filter bag needs to be replaced based on the pressure difference, if the filter bag is damaged or severely blocked and cannot be cleaned and restored, the filter bag should also be replaced in time.
Replacement steps: When replacing the filter bag, first close the inlet and outlet valves of the filter and release the pressure in the filter to normal pressure. Open the upper cover and carefully remove the old filter bag, taking care not to let the residual liquid splash out. Then install the new filter bag correctly into the filter, ensuring that the filter bag ring is tightly fitted with the metal inner mesh collar. After the replacement is completed, check whether each component is installed correctly and whether the sealing performance is good before it can be put back into use.
Parts inspection: Regularly check the various parts of the filter, such as seals, caps, bolts, etc., to ensure that they are in good condition. If there are damaged or aged parts, they should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the filter.
Other aspects:
Pre-wetting the filter bag: If the material of the filter bag is less hydrophilic, the filter bag should be wetted for a few minutes with a pre-wetting liquid that matches the filtered liquid before installation. Because the surface of the fiber will not be wetted by water, this can improve the filtering effect and service life of the filter bag.
Treatment when not working temporarily: If the filter is not working temporarily, do not dry the filter bag, but soak it in a suitable sterilizing solution (or inject such a solution into the shell), and rinse the sterilizing solution before reuse. If the filter needs to be steam sterilized, the condensed water in the steam pipeline must be drained, the steam pressure should not exceed 0.1MPa, and the pressure drop between the upstream and downstream of the filter should not exceed 0.015MPa.
