How to use the hydraulic oil filter correctly

●Let go of the original hydraulic oil in the tank first, check the hydraulic oil filter element to see if there are iron scraps, copper scraps or other impurities attached, and clean the system after inspection and removal.

●Distinguish the grade of hydraulic oil. The mixed use of hydraulic oil of different grades and brands will cause the hydraulic oil filter element to deteriorate due to reaction and produce flocs. 

●The hydraulic oil filter element must be installed before refueling, and the nozzle covered by the hydraulic oil filter element leads directly to the main pump.

●Do not let the oil in the oil tank directly contact with the air. After adding oil, pay attention to the main pump to vent the air. The way to vent the air is to loosen the pipe joint on the top of the main pump and fill it up directly. 

●Regularly check the oil quality. The hydraulic filter element is a consumable item and needs to be replaced immediately if it is clogged; pay attention to flushing the system oil tank and pipeline, and refueling through a refueling device with a filter.

Replacement method of hydraulic oil filter element

● Close the oil inlet ball valve and open the upper cover

● Unscrew the plugging wire of the sewage outlet to drain the dirty oil

● Loosen the fastening nut on the upper end of the filter element, the operator wears oil-proof gloves to hold the filter element tightly, and remove the old filter element vertically upwards

● Replace with a new filter element, pad the upper sealing ring, and tighten the nut

● Close the drain valve, cover the upper end cover, and fasten the bolts

● Tighten the plugging wire of the sewage outlet, cover the upper end cover, and tighten the fastening bolts

Factors affecting the life of hydraulic oil filter elements

1. Pollution degree of hydraulic oil 

The main reason for the failure of the hydraulic oil filter element is the high pollution intrusion rate, which increases the burden on the filter element and shortens the service life of the filter element. It is necessary to strictly limit the access to the environmental pollution of the hydraulic system.

2. Hydraulic oil problem 

It is very important to ensure that the hydraulic system works at the target cleanliness level, to avoid component wear and prolong system life due to system contamination as much as possible.
