The application of membrane process water treatment technology
In recent years, the membrane process water treatment technology has been greatly developed. With its advantages of good treatment effect, low environmental pollution and simple operation, membrane water treatment is applied in the preparation of ultra-pure water, sewage treatment and reuse, and industrial waste liquid treatment and recovery. At present, the common process of whole film water treatment process is: raw water ultrafiltration (UF) security filter reverse osmosis (RO) electric desalination (EDI) high purity water.
UF: First of all, the filtration effect of ultrafiltration membrane is used to initially filter the water quality. In the seriously polluted water quality, some macromolecular components and suspended matter or colloids can also be removed, effectively reduce water pollution and chemical oxygen consumption and other indicators and reduce the turbidity, and at the same time ensure the safety of the next operation.
RO: the use of unique reverse osmosis membrane under the pressure of further water quality treatment operation, organic matter, bacteria and other impurities removed, at the same time to eliminate salt substances, to strengthen the purity of water quality.
The necessity of security filters
After the UF with an accuracy of 0.02~0.04 micron, it is necessary to set a 5-micron RO security filtration. The reasons are as follows:
1. UF equipment failure: ultrafiltration is usually the nominal accuracy, and will inevitably encounter problems such as pollutant escape or equipment failure.
2. UF broken wire: ultrafiltration may also occur under bad working conditions, resulting in pollutant penetration.
3. Source water pollution affects the life of RO film: when the source water quality is unstable, there will be an increase of pollutants or a large number of microorganisms breeding. Once the pollutants that penetrate UF reach RO without interception, it is bound to lead to scratches, blockage, frequent cleaning and shortened life span.
Therefore, the security filter before RO is necessary.
Selection requirements for the security filter
The "high precision" security filter is the guarantee that RO is not to be damaged, while the "high pollution amount" controls the replacement cycle of the filter element within a reasonable period. Years of on-site tracking found that most of the so-called "filter life shortening" problem, may be caused by the filter element intercepted a large number of organic pollutants, which is more obvious in winter and summer every year.
In winter, the temperature is low, the surface water is in the low temperature period, and the flocculation process before the water station weakens the treatment effect of low turbidity water body, which makes some natural organic matter (mainly polysaccharides and humic acids) enter the back end of the water treatment system and is intercepted by the security filter. In the summer temperature rises, the microbial growth in the system is seriously caused, especially in the design of the system pipeline, which will increase the load of the security filter.
The security filter intercepted a large number of pollutants, protecting the downstream RO from frequent cleaning and even replacement. In the long-term operation, although the cost of the filter element is slightly increased, it saves the cost of frequent cleaning of RO film and the early replacement of RO film.
