The coalescing separation filter element is used in the oil-water separation system, mainly to separate oil-water mixture, suspension solution, emulsion solution, etc. The use process of the coalescence separation filter element in the system is divided into: solid-liquid separation---emulsion breaking---polymerization knot---separation---adsorption. In the system, the larger the ratio of the coalescing filter element to the separation filter element, the better the coalescence effect and the faster the separation speed.
The working principle of coalescing separation filter element:
The material flows through the coalescing filter element from the inside to the outside, and first flows through the high-precision filter layer. The solid particles are intercepted by the multi-layer filter material to achieve the purpose of removing particle pollutants. At the same time, the removal of particle pollutants is conducive to the subsequent demulsification and coalescence of the filter element. Functional play. The filtered material then enters the demulsification and coalescence layer, and the impurity liquid in the material is demulsified, and the liquid after demulsification enters the coalescence layer. The working mechanism of the coalescence layer is that small water droplets contact and adhere to the fiber , under the impetus of the fluid, moves along the fiber, and coalesces with other small water droplets to form larger water droplets at the intersection of the fibers.
The large water droplets are brought to the outer surface of the filter element by the fluid. Because their density is higher than that of hydrocarbons, they are separated from liquid hydrocarbons under the action of gravity and settle to the sump at the bottom of the filter separator. The larger the coalesced water droplets, the better the oil-water separation effect .
The coalescing process of the coalescing separator is mainly realized by the coalescing and separating filter element. It adopts oleophobic and hydrophobic coalescing materials and multi-layer filter media, which has dual functions of filtering tiny particles and coalescing liquid components.
After the liquefied natural gas enters the coalescing separator, it passes through the coalescing filter element from the inside to the outside, coalescing the fine droplets in the gas into larger droplets, and the coalescing liquid is discharged from the bottom of the filter element, thus avoiding the entrainment of liquid foam.
At the same time, the surface energy of the medium is reduced, which can prevent the coalescing liquid from wetting the medium and accelerate the discharge of the liquid on the medium fiber:
The polymer wrapped in the outer layer plays the role of draining the coalesced liquid pollutants and preventing gas entrainment.
The coalesced large droplets flow along the outer protective layer to the liquid collection area. Clean, dry gas is discharged from the outlet of the coalescer separator.
The dirt accumulated on the surface of the filter element is mainly solidified by wet accumulation rather than filtration. Coalescing and separation efficiency is high, it can continue to work for a long time, and its service life is 2-3 times longer than that of ordinary filter elements.
After replacing the new filter element, it can quickly achieve the best filtering effect, suitable for systems that require high cleanliness. It is simple and convenient to replace the terminal, the dirt mainly collects on the surface, and there is no need to clean the internal structure.
The coalescing separation filter element achieves higher filtration efficiency and service life by separating and removing dirt particles in the liquid, rather than completely blocking dirt. But it requires more frequent filter changes to remove accumulated dirt. Replacement time is generally estimated in terms of flux pressure drop.
