The difference between LYC-A and LYC-B

DATE:2024-09-18Number of views: Source:LEFILTER

The main differences between the LYC-A series two-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter and the LYC-B series three-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter are as follows:

1. Number of filtration stages and effects

Two-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter:

Usually includes one coarse filtration and one fine filtration. The first coarse filtration mainly intercepts larger particles of impurities, such as metal debris, large particles of dust, etc., to prevent these large particles from damaging the subsequent fine filtration links or clogging the filter element too quickly; the first fine filtration further removes smaller particles of impurities, so that the oil reaches a certain cleanliness requirement, but the cleanliness standard is slightly lower than that of the three-stage filtration.

It can meet some equipment or scenarios that do not require particularly high oil cleanliness, and can remove most obvious impurities, but the removal capacity for tiny particles and extremely fine impurities is limited.

Three-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter:

It has three levels of filtration with different precisions, and adds a more refined filtration on the basis of two-stage filtration. Through coarse filtration, large particles of impurities are initially removed to protect the subsequent filtration links; intermediate filtration further removes smaller particles of impurities; fine filtration deeply removes tiny particles, impurities and possible residual water, etc. After three-stage fine filtration, the oil can reach a higher cleanliness standard and meet the equipment and working environment with very strict requirements on oil cleanliness.

For example, in the aerospace field, hydraulic systems of precision instruments and equipment, etc., the cleanliness of the oil is extremely high. The three-stage filtration impurity removal oil filter can better ensure the purity of the oil and ensure the normal operation and stable performance of the equipment.

2. Filtration accuracy

Two-stage filtration impurity removal oil filter:

The coarse filtration accuracy is generally around 100μm, which is used to filter out larger particles.

The common fine filtration accuracy is 10-40μm and other different levels. It can be selected according to specific needs. It can remove relatively small solid particles, but it may not be able to completely remove smaller impurities.

Three-stage filtration impurity removal oil filter:

The coarse filtration accuracy may also be around 100μm, which is used to initially filter out large particles of impurities.

The precision of the first-stage fine filtration is usually 10-40μm, the precision of the second-stage fine filtration is commonly 3-10μm, and there may even be a higher-level third-stage fine filtration with a precision of 1-3μm, etc., which can more comprehensively and meticulously remove various sizes of particulate impurities and trace amounts of water.

3. Structural complexity and cost

Two-stage filtration impurity removal oil filter:

The structure is relatively simple, mainly composed of a coarse filter, a fine filter, a power system (motor and oil pump, etc.), a protective device, and related pipes and shells.

Due to the simple structure, its manufacturing cost is usually low, the purchase price is relatively cheap, and maintenance and maintenance are relatively easy and low cost.

Three-stage filtration impurity removal oil filter:

The structure is relatively complex. In addition to all the components of the two-stage filtration, a more refined filter component is added, and more complex pipe connections and control systems may be required to ensure the smooth progress of the three-stage filtration and the stability of the filtration effect.

Due to its complex structure, many parts and high manufacturing process requirements, its manufacturing cost is relatively high, so the market price is usually more expensive than the two-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter. In addition, it requires more time and energy in the later maintenance, and the maintenance cost is relatively high.

How to choose:

1. Filtration accuracy requirements:

LYC-A series: two-stage filtration, which can usually remove larger particles of impurities, and can meet general cleanliness requirements after coarse filtration and fine filtration. Its fine filtration accuracy is commonly 3-40μm and other different levels, which can cope with the scenes where the oil cleanliness of ordinary hydraulic systems or lubrication systems is not particularly high, such as some conventional industrial equipment, hydraulic lubrication systems of ordinary machinery, etc.

LYC-B series: three-stage filtration is better in filtration accuracy, and the added first-level fine filtration can deeply remove tiny particles, impurities and possible residual moisture. Its second-level fine filtration accuracy can reach 3-10μm or even higher, which can make the oil reach a higher cleanliness standard, and is suitable for equipment with extremely strict requirements on oil cleanliness, such as aerospace fields, precision instruments and equipment, and hydraulic systems of high-end CNC machine tools.

2. Oil contamination degree:

LYC-A series: If the oil contamination degree is relatively light, mainly some larger particles of impurities, then the two-stage filtration LYC-A series may be sufficient to meet the filtration needs, and can reduce equipment costs and maintenance difficulties while ensuring the filtration effect.

LYC-B series: For oils with more serious pollution, more impurities and containing tiny particles of impurities, the three-stage filtration of the LYC-B series can more thoroughly remove various impurities and ensure the purity of the oil, but the equipment price and subsequent maintenance costs are relatively high.

3. Processing capacity and work efficiency:

LYC-A series: In terms of processing capacity and work efficiency, the two-stage filtration structure is relatively simple, the filtration process is short, and the processing speed may be relatively fast. If there are high requirements for filtration speed and the requirements for oil cleanliness are not top standards, the LYC-A series is a better choice to meet large-scale and high-efficiency filtration needs, such as centralized filtration scenarios in some large factories.

LYC-B series: Due to the addition of a first-stage filtration, the filtration process is more complicated. Under the same processing volume, the processing speed may be relatively slow. However, if the filtration accuracy is high and the processing volume is not particularly large, the three-stage filtration of the LYC-B series can ensure a high filtration effect within a reasonable time.

4. Equipment cost and budget:

LYC-A series: Generally speaking, the structure of the two-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter is relatively simple and the manufacturing cost is low, so the purchase price is relatively cheap. At the same time, its maintenance and maintenance costs are relatively low, and the replacement frequency and cost of the filter element may be relatively small, which is suitable for users with limited budgets.

LYC-B series: The structure of the three-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter is relatively complex, the manufacturing process requirements are high, and there are more parts, so the purchase price of the equipment is higher. And in terms of later maintenance, more energy and expenses are required. For example, the higher the accuracy of the filter element, the replacement cost may also increase. It is suitable for users with high requirements for filtration effects and sufficient budgets.

5. Usage scenarios and space limitations:

LYC-A series: two-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter machines are usually relatively small in size and light in weight, and are easy to move and install. They are suitable for scenarios with limited space or where equipment needs to be moved frequently, such as small repair workshops, field construction operations, etc.

LYC-B series: three-stage filtration and impurity removal oil filter machines may be relatively large in size and weight due to the large number of structures and components, and have certain requirements for installation space and use environment. If the use scenario has sufficient space and there are strict requirements for oil filtration accuracy, then the LYC-B series is a suitable choice.
